Signs your siding needs replacing

Napa's hot valley summers and strong UV are hard on cladding. Over time you'll notice chalking or peeling paint, boards that have warped, cupped, or split, soft spots and rot in trim and around windows, gaps that let water and pests behind the wall, and drafts as the weather barrier breaks down. Older wood, hardboard, and T1-11 siding are especially vulnerable once the finish gives out.
