I love my new shower! I had travertine, which I totally hated. GVD installed a Sentrel Shower and I absolutely love it. No more travertine or grout in the shower! To me it was a bit pricy but worth it to get rid of the travertine. I learned about Sentrel from my sister who had her bathroom redone by GVD. Would recommend.

Although they weren’t the cheapest bid that we got, we are extremely happy with the work they did and really have no complaints. I had several bids on siding and a window enlargement and GVD renovations was the most professional and detailed in their negotiations. I have had several contractors at my house over the years and I will say that GVD renovations did the highest quality job. The team's work was 5 star, there was such attention to detail , a superior job ethic. I am so happy how everything turned out, I highly recommend them. Only small detail may be a language barrier, I did not ask enough questions regarding each line item prior to signing the contract, so there was a couple of issues.

My wife and I contracted with GVD to replace all the windows and sliding doors in our house and also to replace most of our existing exterior wood siding and paint the entire outside of the house. They finished the project a few days ago. Every GVD employee was prompt, courteous and professional, including the original estimator, the project director, the payment department, and most importantly, all the on-site workers. They listened to what my wife and I had to say and made every attempt to address every mid-stream concern. They also brought new questions of their own to our attention as they progressed on the project.
The old siding was removed in one day. The new siding was precision-cut and installed quickly. The painting also was quick. The attention-to-detail in everything, including the trim painting was incredibly precise. The Anlin windows and exterior Hardie trim are excellent products. The crew applied extensive high-quality caulking in every possible location. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every work day and always maintained a safe work site.
As far as I can tell, their prices are competitive, but it's hard to imagine a better value in terms of quality of materials and labor. Our house is a very modest split-level with little inherent architectural interest. But the quality of the Anlin windows and GVD's work transformed its curb appeal. We were a small job, but they treated us like a big customer.

We procrastinated on redoing our siding for a long time because we knew it would not be cheap or easy. Now that we've done it, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. While I was right about it not being cheap, it was very easy. GVD took care of everything! They explained things and made the sales process very easy. Choosing the right paint color from the many options was probably the hardest part. They were slightly more expensive than the other bids, but not by much. We ended up choosing them because they were SO thorough. Their contract and paperwork explained all the things that were covered and all the things they would check for including an allotment for a given square foot of dry rot repairs. Based on all that and their excellent reviews, we went with them. I am happy to report that there were no surprise expenses. The crew that came out was so nice and respectful. They work FAST! Every time I peeked out the window an entire section was done. I also really appreciate the care they took in doing the caulking and painting, as well as hiding as many wires as possible. They really care that the final product looks as great as it can look. Our house is very old and getting the new siding makes the entire house feel like a brand-new house. I couldn't be happier with it. The only bad thing that happened is I did lose an entire shelf of glasses. They bang on all the walls to ensure there is no dry rot and as our ancient house shifted, that shelf fell, and those glasses broke. No fault of GVD's, but something to be aware of - secure your things that are on the external walls. I also must add that every single person I spoke with at GVD was super nice and professional. I couldn't recommend them more.

GVD came out to install Jamie Hardie planks in Nov 2021 and we have been very happy with the results and curb appeal. Their cost estimator came out and had recommended the planks and advised on other design choices that was truly worth the value. Their team worked for about 3 to 4 days, removing the old siding, adding the moisture barrier and then installing the planks. We were impressed with the detailing and leaving tour property clean at the end of the day. I recommend their services.

HardiPlank Siding GVD was not the lowest bidder for my project, but I chose them based on the details of the five page quote and meeting with Vlad the owner. They made no effort to take shortcuts or use cheap materials. The team of Ukrainian craftsmen worked together as an efficient and professional team. I can honestly say that I am more than pleased with the work done and the finished product! It looks like I have a new home and the Fireproof rating of HardiPlank will keep my insurance company happy. (I live in a fire zone in the Santa Cruz Mountains)

We met with the salesman, Gary, and then proceeded to get financing through an affiliated company. So I was looking online for siding contractors and came across GVD and that they did siding and painting so basically a one stop shop. We contacted them and Andrew came out for the initial estimate. GVD replaced my siding on my bungalow home that was built in 1914. This project was extremely stressful for me and I was anxious about the results. I had no need to be concerned. The crew was great, worked efficiently and were respectful of my property. They cleaned up every night so that there was no garbage, dust or scraps laying around. Every night I would walk the project making sure it was being done the way I wanted. When I had concerns, I would text my project manager Vlad and he always responded ensuring me all my concerns would be addressed. I had some rafter tails that had extreme dry rot and I was going to have them wrapped with metal to save. I had told Vlad that I was going to replace them but by the time the work started (5 months later by my choice) that plan had changed. Imagine my shock when I came home one night and the tails had been cut off. I was devastated and very upset that I had not been consulted before something that provided character and was original to my home was gone. I called Vlad and he came out to my home. He told me that they could replace the rafter tails. Honestly, I was very sceptical. GVD came through big time! One of the guys made new ones that look exactly like the original and no dry rot! ;) My project did have hiccups and they were always a result of a lack of communication. But every single concern was addressed and resolved with no complaint from the crew! One day after my siding was completed, my water main broke. When it was replaced, the plumber left a eyesore in my beautiful siding (not his fault). I immediately texted Vlad asking if there was anything they could do to fix it. Alex was on-site a few days later to complete some caulking and paint touch ups and I came home to find he repaired the area. WOW! To say I was extremely happy is an understatement!!! I have NO regrets choosing GVD! I am beyond thrilled with my siding! Every one of my neighbors has complimented the work and share my opinion...my home turned out beautifu!

GVD Renovations replaced aluminum siding in front of the house and soffits around the whole house with the James Hardie fiber cement siding. They also painted the existing stucco and replaced all gutters. They also replaced 3 existing front windows. Initially, there were setbacks caused by supply chain issues with custom windows. This delayed the project. Once the project started, it was handled efficiently. The windows did not fit perfectly and the structure around the windows had to be changed. Our project was a complete installation of Hardie Board siding on our house, sheds and a patio cover replacement. We originally had one half of the house covered in vinyl siding and one half in stucco. The old metal patio cover was from the 60's. GVD's siding crew were craftsmen that expertly installed siding, trimmed and painted that trim on the house and our two sheds, built a special door for the cover of the water heater cabinet, trimmed out the front door eave and pole hiding some sprinkler wires that had long been an eyesore, and took the time to make sure that everything was lined up and perfect. We have an old house that had many issues that GVD patiently overcame without sacrificing quality. We also worked on reducing outside cabling and wiring so that the new siding look is clean. They saved our Leaf Guard gutters and reinstalled them. GVD put up with my questions and concerns along with way. We were so pleased with this engagement that we have signed up with GVD for two follow-on projects.

They had explained in advance how in a few areas the flashing was going to be exposed and that was fine but the crew spent time finding a solution where everything was hidden and looked way better without any prompting. We contracted GVD to re-side the two story side of our home, replace a side garage man door and install a window. Andrew Landies was our initial point of contact and he was very knowledgeable, confident, yet not pushy when we initially met with him and compared him to several other contractors we had interviewed. The estimate was not the cheapest out there, but it wasn't the highest bid we'd received either. With Andy's help, we were able to trim back our initial dream project into something that worked within our price range and ended up with a home which once was the eye sore on our block to a stunning makeover. Aleksey and his siding/painting crew were beyond phenomenal. Once they started working, the siding was torn down, hauled away, new siding installed and the existing siding that needed painting was completed in 5 working days. His crew was polite, efficient, VERY hard working, and clearly demonstrated professional expertise. I particularly appreciated that our property was cleaned up diligently at the end of every work day. When it came to finishing up with the paint and caulking, he asked that I point out any areas I felt needed final attention. I marked and pointed out specific areas with blue painters tape, and Aleksey and his crew took care of it to the smallest detail. The one glitch we encountered was a delay on the bathroom window installation which came from a delay with the supplier. All in all, even with the hiccup of the window delay, GVD did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them.

Holy moly! Where do I begin?! I had been needing my siding replaced for well over a year, and thanks to all my dad's loving nagging and threats that I may have dry rot, a fire was lit under my butt and so began my research. Let me just say that I'm so glad I came across GVD. From my initial request for a quote through to the project close out I was blown away by this company's professionalism, quality of work, communication (I'm huge on communication), friendliness, and customer reviews via yelp, Angie's List, BBB, etc. Andy was the person who came out to do the initial quote and was such a nice person. He took time to explain the various siding options offered as well as pros/cons of each, and even gave me multiple estimates (I was originally thinking of only replacing two of the four sides of the house most is need), but am so happy I decided to do all four! Following the estimates, I needed time to talk it over with my husband, and get some other quotes. During my "contemplation phase" Andy was responsive to all of my questions (and I had a lot), and never once tried to push a sale. When we decided to move forward with the project, everything was smooth sailing, and hassle free since GVD pulled permits with the City on my behalf. Work actually started sooner than anticipated and finished much quicker as well. During the demo/reconstruction the crews arrived on time, worked incredibly hard, and cleaned up after themselves each day. There was always a point person on the crew who I was able to communicate with regarding questions/arrangements for the next day. I was even freaking out because my internet was impacted due to the demolition and the crew actually helped me to move the fiber wire under the new siding so it was protected (and invisible - bonus points!). Every day I'd check on the progress made after the crews had gone home and just stare in utter amazement at how great my house looked. The entire project took just four days to complete! And I realize this is probably not the norm because there were multiple crews helping out on a few days due to some delays on other job sites. The new siding looks better than I ever expected it could or would look. I previously had a cardboard composite type material on the house, and replaced with Hardie Board. GVD also had the added task of installing plywood to my entire house as there wasn't any under the original siding. The installation of the siding, the trim around the windows, doors and garage, and the flashing, and all the attention to the small details literally blew me away. GVD also painted my gutters, eaves, foundation, and downspouts, saving me the trouble of having to find a painter! My dad (the instigator of the entire project) was beyond impressed as well. Having witnessed some really shady contractors and sub-par work in the past, I'm so happy I decided to go with GVD and I'm so grateful for the outstanding work they did on my home. In a nutshell, here are the pros/cons of GVD (related to siding): Pros: Professional, Friendly, Open/constant communication, Financing options, Clean, Perfectionists. Quick Cons: None - no, seriously! I'm so appreciative and thankful for the work GVD did on my home, from my initial consult with Andy, to communications with Victoria and Igor, subsequent walkthroughs/conversations with Vlad, and the incredible work done by Yaro, Vadim, and all of the men on the crew (whose names I didn't catch). My home looks beyond incredible. I hope that I don't need to have my siding redone in the near future, but if there was ever another need, I would not hesitate to go with GVD!

GVD Renovations replaced the siding and trim on two sides of our house with Hardie Board. They did an excellent job of repairing and replacing dry rot on the rest of the house. They also replaced brick trim with stone work. The whole process - from initial meeting to site visit to scheduling and work done - was professional. The three-man crew were very attentive to details and we were impressed with their skills for each job they did. The crew were neat, respectful, cleaned up at the end of each workday, and were true craftsmen. We contracted with GVD Renovations to side our entire house with Hardie Plank siding. They were one of a few recommended contractors by the James Hardie company who were qualified to install Hardie Plank. When we met with Andy from GVD it was clear from the start that they were going to be the best fit for our project. Andy was very clear about what they would be doing, how the process worked, and what the time frame was going to be. He answered all questions during our meeting, and several that I had afterward. One of my big pet peeves are contractors that do not respond to calls/emails, but Andy and Vlad were always easy to reach during the project, returning calls in a timely fashion, and answering questions as they came up. The project was large, and there were some unexpected minor delays, but in the end our house is absolutely beautiful. They did a fantastic job, even going the extra mile and putting siding on our little door to the crawl space under our house. The siding has transformed our house's exterior and it now looks sleek and modern. I would definitely recommend GVD for their expertise in Hardie Plank siding.

We invited a number of contractors out to provide an estimate to do some extensive work on the exterior of our house. GVD came out first. Brad was thorough in his inspection and provided an itemized estimate. He answered all of our questions and gave us tremendous insight and recommendations. He provided a cost analysis in a timely manner. We had a few other contractors out one was cheaper, but was not able to answer our questions and it was clear he was not familiar with Hardi siding; one seemed to understand the scope of work, but took a long time to respond and their bid was much more than GVD, it was pretty clear they were not very interested in our project. We let Brad know we decided to use GVD; however, our budget would only allow us to install siding at this time. Brad responded promptly with an updated estimate to fit our budget. Stan and his crew arrived on the scheduled date. They were professional and clean during demo. Installation was done on time and on budget. The attention to detail and overall work ethic was above and beyond what we expected. I am very picky and often have a list of items I want fixed on every project. There was only one little item on the whole project that I wasn't absolutely thrilled with and it was fixed perfectly the next morning. We will definitely use GVD again and wholeheartedly recommend them.
